- Allen wrenches
- Drill with 1/8" and 9/32" drill bits (1/4" acceptable if needed)
- Torque wrench (inch-pound)
- Basic hand tools
Step-by-Step Installation
1. Remove Components
- Remove the front fork
- Remove the front wheel
2. Prep the Fork for the Bracket
- Place the brake bracket on the fork, as low as it will sit
- Mark the center of all 4 bracket holes on the fork
- Remove the bracket
- Drill through the outside and inside walls of the fork at the marked points:
Start with a 1/8" bit
- Follow with a 9/32" bit (or 1/4" if that’s what you have; it will be tight)
3. Mount the Bracket and Caliper
- Mount the caliper and both brackets using the top left bolt hole:
Use one of the three longer M6 bolts to go through the upper bracket, fork, and lower bracket
- Tighten hand tight for now
- Next, install the lower left bolt (another long M6 bolt):
Goes through the upper bracket, lower bracket, and into the caliper
- Install the third long bolt into the next lower hole to the right:
This one will use a nut on the back
- The last two holes will use the shorter M6 bolts with nuts on the back
- Tighten all five bolts to 75 in-lb of torque
4. Install the Rotor
- Let the air out of the tire
- Split the wheel by removing the four Allen head bolts
- Replace the side without the sprocket using the new rotor half from your kit
5. Reassemble
- Reinstall the wheel, carefully slipping the rotor into the caliper
- Reinstall the fork onto the Crazy Cart
6. Cable and Brake Handle
- Route the brake cable over to the drift bar
- Install the brake handle on the bar
7. Fine-Tuning
- Adjust the cable tension at the caliper first, then at the handle for fine-tuning
- If needed, adjust the outer caliper pad using the small Allen set screw
